1 RESOLUTION NO. 3.5" <br /> 2 <br /> 3 A RESOLUTION designating Evergreen Way from 44th Street to <br /> 105th Street and Claremont Way from 50th Street to 52nd <br /> 4 Street as "No Cruising" areas under the provisions of <br /> Ordinance No. i eft --17. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT as follows: <br /> 7 Section 1 : The recurrent practice of cruising Evergreen Way from <br /> 8 44th Street to 105th Street and Claremont Way from 50th Street to 52nd <br /> 9 Street has resulted in massive traffic congestion with great inconvenience <br /> 10 to the public and economic loss to local businesses. Cruising, as practiced <br /> 11 in said area, consists of hundreds of cars repeatedly driving north and <br /> 12 south in the evenings. <br /> 13 Section 2: Evergreen Way from 44th Street to 105th Street and <br /> 14 Claremont Way from 50th Street to 52nd Street are hereby designated as "No <br /> 15 Cruising" areas and shall be properly posted and will be subject to City <br /> 16 Ordinance No./3 q —f 7 , which prohibits driving past a traffic control <br /> 17 point more than two times in a two hour period. <br /> 18 Section 3: This resolution shall be effective upon the effective date <br /> 19 of Ordinance No. l� -t7. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 ,e <br /> 22 . <br /> 23 Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> 24 PASSED and APPROVED this fa day of November, 1987. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 etitutetj <br /> 27 Council President <br /> 28 (2321 ) <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
