J RESOLUTION NO. 67;29 A RESOLUTION authorizing vacation and demolition of a building situated at 520 - 75th Street S.E. WHEREAS, the City of Everett Building Official has found that the building which is located at 520 - 75th Street S.E. is a substandard building pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; and WHEREAS, the City of Everett Building Official has found the building which is located at 520 - 75th Street S.E. is a dangerous building pursuant to the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official issued an Order requiring the owners of the property to make the necessary repairs or to demolish the building; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that repairs or demolition have not taken place as was required in the Order; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Order issued by the Building Official was properly served on the owners of the property in question; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official has the 1 authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Building Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have been given notice of this Council meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of the Order issued by the Building Official and that the appeal period has expired; and WHEREAS, the City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that a Resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of the building; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: Section 1: That the building located at 520 - 75th Street S.E. which is legally described as follows contained conditions which endanger the life, limb, health, property, safety and welfare of the public: Lot 18, Block 2, Beverly Home Tract, Division 2 as per plat recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, Page 25, Records of Snohomish County, Washington. Situate in the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of Washington.
