RESOLUTION NO.,27706— A RESOLUTION authorizing the recovery of costs incurred as a result of the corrective repairs to the structure at 1507 Wall Street , the Monte Cristo Hotel. WHEREAS , the City Council, through Resolution No. 2833, authorized the use of City funds for corrective repairs to the Monte Cristo Hotel located at 1507 Wall Sttret , and WHEREAS , the City Council finds that the repair work was performed by a licensed contractor employed by the City, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that an expense was incurred in the amount of $9, 624.24 as a result of the repair work, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the fees for the contractor' s services were paid from City funds, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Chapter 35. 80 of the Revised Code of Washington and Chapter Nine of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings as adopted in Ordinance No. 1254-86, empowers the City Council to recover the costs incurred. NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Everett : Section 1 : Costs for the demolition of the structure exist in the amount of $9, 624. 24 and henceforth said expense shall be assessed against the property. The City of Everett shall ask the County Treasurer to enter the amount of the assessment upon the tax rolls against the property and collect the same with regular property taxes and with interest at such rates as provided for in RCW 84. 56. 020.
