RESOLUTION NO ?32 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the recovery of costs <br /> incurred as a result of the demolition of the <br /> structure at 2224 Cleveland . <br /> WHEREAS , the City Council , through Resolution No. <br /> 2749, authorized the use of City funds for the demolition <br /> of the structure located at 2224 Cleveland, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the demolition <br /> work was performed by a licensed contractor employed by <br /> the City , and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that an expense was <br /> incurred in the amount of $10, 000. 00 as a result of the <br /> demolition work, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the fees for <br /> the contractor' s services were paid from City funds , and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Chapter 35. 80 <br /> of the Revised Code of Washington and Chapter Nine of the <br /> Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings as <br /> adopted in Ordinance No. 725-80, empowers the City Council <br /> to recover the costs incurred . <br /> NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the City of <br /> Everett : <br /> Section 1 : Costs for the demolition of the <br /> structure exist in the amount of $10, 000. 00 and henceforth <br /> said expense shall be assessed against the property . The <br /> City of Everett shall ask the County Treasurer to enter <br /> the amount of the assessment upon the tax rolls against <br /> the property and collect the same with regular property <br /> taxes and with interest at such rates as provided for in <br /> RCW 84. 56. 020. <br />
