RESOLUTION NO.A53'l� <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the purchase of thirty ( 30) <br /> vehicles from the State ' s contract. <br /> WHEREAS , City Council finds that Chapter 39. 34 RCW <br /> authorizes municipalities to enter into an interlocal agreement <br /> with the State of Washington for the purchase of goods and <br /> services ; and <br /> WHEREAS , City Council finds that the City of Everett has <br /> entered into such a contract with the State; and <br /> WHEREAS , City Council finds that the City of Everett needs <br /> to purchase thirty ( 30) vehicles ; and <br /> WHEREAS , City Council finds that the State has secured a <br /> contract for the purchase of vehicles and that the City can <br /> purchase vehicles from the State ' s contract at a substantial <br /> savings per car over an estimated Bid Call price; and <br /> WHEREAS , City Council finds that it is in the best interest <br /> of the City to avail itself of the substantial cost savings and <br /> to purchase from State ' s list for this 1987 purchase of thirty <br /> ( 30) vehicles : <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT that the City is hereby authorized to purchase <br /> from the State ' s contract thirty ( 30) City vehicles according to <br /> the following : <br /> State Contract # : 313B-85 <br /> Supplier' s Name : Toyota of Vancouver - Vancouver <br /> Capital Chevrolet - Olympia <br /> Camp Chevrolet - Spokane <br /> Cost Per Car: $6, 790 - $17 , 889 <br /> TOTAL COST : $272 , 823 + Sales Tax <br /> (for 30 vehicles) <br /> 111,°Q)1 <br /> L27(---72,— <br /> ouncilman Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this // day of "-' „-ey , 1987. <br /> Council President <br />
