CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Everett, Washington, <br /> declaring its intention to order the improvements in the vicinity of 60th <br /> Street S.W. and Hardeson Road and creating a local improvement district to <br /> assess the cost and expense of carrying out such improvement against the <br /> properties specially benefited thereby, and setting a date of hearing on <br /> the formation. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON, as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 1. RCW 35.43.040 provides that the legislative authority of a <br /> city may order a local improvement district. <br /> Section 2. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett, Washington (the "City") , based on RCW 35.43.040, to order the <br /> improvement of the properties within the area described in Exhibit A, attached <br /> hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, by the construction of those <br /> arterial street improvements, standard water system improvements, and standard <br /> sanitary sewer improvements described in Exhibit B, attached hereto and by <br /> this reference made a part hereof. <br /> All of the foregoing improvements shall be in accordance with the plans <br /> and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and may be modified <br /> by the City as long as such modification does not affect the purpose of the <br /> improvement. <br /> Section 3. The total estimated cost and expense of the improvements are <br /> declared to be $7,300,000. The entire cost and expense of such improvements <br /> shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by <br /> such improvements, except any public contributions determined by City Council, <br /> if any, that may become available to help defray the cost of such improvements <br /> may be added. Such property shall be included in a local improvement district <br /> to be established embracing as nearly as practicable all the property <br /> specially benefited by the improvement. <br />
