RESOLUTION NO. v27S9 A Resolution adopting the 1986 Everett Inventory of Historic Properties as the official inventory of historic properties in Everett. WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission requested that the City of Everett accomplish an Inventory of Historic Properties for the City of Everett citizens; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council and Mayor agreed and accepted the recommendation of Chronicles and Design as the consultant to accomplish the inventory of historic properties on December 18, 1985; and WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission is presenting to the City Council and Mayor the completed inventory of historical properties; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The 1986 Everett Historic Resource Survey is adopted as the official inventory of historic properties for the City of Everett. The properties listed in the inventory are hereby deemed to have historical significance for the City of Everett. 2. The 1986 Everett Historic Resource Survey will be used by all City departments in review of proposed development to insure conformance with all local, state and federal regulations. 3. The City Council would like the 1986 Everett Historic Resource Survey widely distributed to the public so that developers and investors interested in historic property restoration will be able to take advantage of the financial incentives available from state and federal government for historic property restoration. 4. The 1986 Everett Historic Resource Survey be used as an important reference document and planning tool when updating and revising citywide plans and regulations such as the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code. 5. The 1986 Everett Historic Resource Survey should not be viewed as a stagnant document, but as one that will be updated on a continual basis. The Everett Library, Northwest Room Staff and the Planning Department will work together to update the document when needed.
