a 1 RESOLUTION NO, v? 7'7/ 2 A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a building situated at 2224 Cleveland . 3 4 WHEREAS, the Building Official has found that the building which ,,S is located at 2224 Cleveland is a substandard structure based upon the 6 standards set forth in the Uniform Housing Code; and 7 WHEREAS, the Building Official has found that the building is 8 dangerous pursuant to the standards set forth in the Uniform Code for the 9 Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and 10 WHEREAS, the Building Official issued an Order requesting the 11 owner of the property to make the necessary repairs or to demolish the 12 buildings; and 13 WHEREAS, the required repair or demolition have not taken place 14 as was required in the Order which was duly served upon the owner of the 15 property; and 16 WHEREAS, the City Council finds the Building Official has the• 17 authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; 18 and 19 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner of the property 20 has been given notice of this Council meeting; and 21 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of the Order issued by the Building Official and that the appeal period has 22 expired; and 23 . 24 WHEREAS, the City Council , upon due consideration, deems it in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that a 25 resolution be adopted requiring demolition of the building : 26 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: 27 Section 1 .
