y • i <br /> RESOLUTION NO7,,,3a� <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the recovery of costs <br /> incurred as a result of the demolition of the <br /> structure at 2201 Oakes . <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, through Resolution No. 2619, <br /> authorized the use of City funds for the demolition of the <br /> structure located at 2201 Oakes, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the demolition <br /> work was performed by a licensed contractor employed by the <br /> City, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that an expense was <br /> incurred in the amount of $1, 700. 00 as a result of the <br /> demolition work, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the fees for the <br /> contractor ' s services were paid from City funds, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Chapter 35. 80 of <br /> the Revised Code of Washington and Chapter Nine of the Uniform <br /> Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings as adopted in <br /> Ordinance No. 725-80, empowers the City Council to recover the <br /> costs incurred. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Everett : <br /> Section 1 : Costs for the demolition of the structure <br /> exist in the amount of $1, 700. 00 and henceforth said expense <br /> shall be assessed against the property. The City of Everett <br /> shall ask the County Treasurer to enter the amount of the <br /> assessment upon the tax rolls against the property and collect <br /> the same with regular property taxes and with interest at such <br /> rates as provided for in RCW 84. 56. 020. <br /> Section 2 : The address of the structure is 2201 Oakes, <br /> Everett, Washington.
