PL/BL/C WO/Z0 rs
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION
DATE: February 12, 1999
PROJECT: Everett Station, City of Everett
SUBJECT: Section 503.2 - Exterior wall and opening protection
ACTION: The assumed property line used in determining the exterior wall and opening
protection requirements will be allowed to be located at the midpoint of the
railroad rite-of-way.
FINDINGS: aThe railway at this location is an established main line. The trains that
will be periodically stopping will not carry large quantities of
combustibles, but are for commuters. The level of hazard is then
roughly equivalent to that of a typical public way.
• As a main line, the likelihood that there will ever be a structure built on
this location is extremely remote, thereby rendering the issue of
exposure moot.
• This position is in keeping with previous decisions within the City of
Everett.
/ LO:
Building Official
TL:judyc(febadact.l)
CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax(425) 257-8856
