It is very much relevant as if sufficient progress is not maintained on this project, the city will have no choice but to follow the order and demolish the house. But, I need to state again, that is not the city's goal, our goal is to provide for safe and legal housing within the city. Again, so long as timely progress is being made, we will work with you and Ms. Capps to bring this project to completion. But, progress must be maintained. We will be monitoring your progress carefully and hope that your momentum is maintained. Again, please keep in contact with Mr. Budden and refer all technical questions to him. I am working as a consultant until my license is reinstated which should be completed late next week I would like to meet with you at your earliest convenience next week with Ms Capps myself , you and whomever else you feel should be present to look over the new drawings Including the sheer wall modifications you and I discussed The conclusion o this meeting I hope will put us well on our way if not all the way to getting the building permit Please notify me as to your schedule and I will inform ms Capps On another note the homeowner is very concerned that the letter you sent in regards to the shoring and the deadline of the 26 th of October is still in affect I have told them in my conversations with mr fagerstrom that as long as significant progress (IE the engineered drawings and acquiring a professional to see the project is monitored and completed in a timely manner ) Is recognized the date of the 26 th is irrelevant as is my understanding. We have not proceeded with shoring as I believe a building permit and with proper drawings is the correct way to proceed . Upon issuance of the permit I will immediately call the sub contractor that has bid the raising and shoring of the residence in order to prepare for the new concrete foundation . They (the homeowners ) would like written proof (I assume an email from you will be acceptable) That they are in no danger of being accused of or fined for defaulting on the document they received . They would like this statement as soon as possible If I am misinforming them then I must have that information So I may rapidly proceed by pulling a speedster shoring permit This seems unnecessary to me as it is my view that the actual building permit acquired the entire project can go forward and with sub contractors pulling bids it is more easily monitored by the city and more financially beneficial for the homeowner .
