Our company, D.B. Davis Structural
Moving & Raising, has been subcontracted to perform the shoring and lifting of the structure to facilitate the replacement
of the existing failing post and pier foundation with a full perimeter cast in place concrete foundation. We are scheduled to
begin the shoring process tomorrow morning, November 2nd around 8:00 AM. We will be using a standard cantilevered
load procedure with 10"x68#/ft beams under the joist system. The structure will be loaded on 6 crib locations (4'x4') and
raised using our unified hydraulic jacking system with 6 ea 15 ton crib jacks. I have inspected the structural integrity of the
building and have found it to be more than sound enough for the raising process. Our company has been in business
since 1884 and has raised and moved literally thousands of buildings. This project would be considered on the small side
of what we are equipped to do and I do not foresee any potential problems with the process. If you have any questions or
concerns, please feel free to contact me directly on my cell at(425) 791-4260. If you would like to check out some of our
past work similar to this project, please visit our web site at www.dbdavisllc.com.
Sincerely,
Chad
Chad Krause
Office Manager
D.B.
