ENG/NEER/NE/ PONL/C SERV CES REPARMENT
February 24, 2009
Martha DeLeon
414 S. Skagit Street
Burlington, WA 98233
Project: Proposed Restaurant/Bar
Job Address: 2818 Wetmore Avenue
Dear Ms. Delon;
This office has received a permit application for the building located at the address noted above.
The work description listed includes upgrading restrooms, electrical and plumbing systems, and
overall renovation. I regret that we are unable to accept this permit application as it is
incomplete. In addition to the permit application, other documents are required for a complete
permit application submission which include: construction plans to be drafted by a design
professional licensed by the State of Washington, City of Everett Planning Department approval,
a signed letter from the owner giving you authorization to secure permits for this building and
any associated fees—please see the enclosed documents that may be of further aid in the
application process.
Apart from any proposed changes, the building has several exiting non-compliant issues that will
have to be addressed prior to the issuance of construction permits to include: shaft protection of
the means of egress, basement access, egress from the second story, the use of non-permitted
wiring, and other violations. Due to the magnitude of issues surrounding this structure, it is
suggested that a pre-application meeting be scheduled so that we may have the opportunity to
provide you with other City department's (such as Planning, Fire and Public Works)permit
requirements.
If you have any questions I may be reached directly at (425) 257-8812.
Sincerely,
Tony R. Lee
Permit Services Manager
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax (425) 257-8856
