July 12, 2017 <br /> COUNCIL BILL 1707-29 <br /> FIRST READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to Parking, amending Section 2 of <br /> Ordinance No. 2180-96 as amended. (EMC 46.28.020) <br /> Presented by Katie Rathbun, Legal <br /> Council Member Roberts suggested adding a discussion about parking on <br /> the next Transportation Advisory Committee meeting agenda. <br /> Considerable discussion ensued about possible limitations to parallel <br /> parking only, consideration of an appropriate language related to pedestrian <br /> walking width, signage request process, an estimate of the affected areas <br /> in the City, and a possibility to run the program on an exemption basis. <br /> Cletus Skrabak, Everett, expressed his concerns regarding pedestrian <br /> safety and shared his opinion about the proposed ordinance verbiage. <br /> Kimberly Busteed, Everett, spoke in support of the proposed ordinance. <br /> Victor Harris, Everett, suggested adding a discussion about parking on the <br /> next Transportation Advisory Committee meeting agenda. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 7140 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $2,611,952.41 for the period of June 24, 2017, through June 30, 2017. <br /> 228 <br />
