October 7, 2015 <br />COUNCIL BILL NO. 1509-38 <br />FIRST READING: <br />AN ORDINANCE amending specifying issues that must be <br />addressed in Written Findings for Subdivisions as part of the 2015- <br />2035 Comprehensive Plan Update, amending Ordinance Nos. <br />2328-98 and 2530-01 <br />Presented by Allan Giffen, Planning <br />Adopt Resolution declaring the Periodic Review and Update of the <br />Comprehensive Plan and Regulations complete. <br />Presented by Allan Giffen, Planning <br />Allan Giffen, Planning, presented a PowerPoint for briefing items 2-9. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the preferred alternative for the 2035 <br />conditional population growth target. <br />Council Member Roberts asked for an extension of up to two weeks to <br />review all documents thoroughly. Discussion took place regarding the <br />deadline for submission of the plan, and Allan Giffen stated staff is <br />available to answer any questions. <br />Victor Harris, Everett, thanked the Transportation Advisory Committee <br />(TAC) members for their work. Mr. Harris spoke about the need for an <br />affordable medium-sized auditorium and associated meeting rooms in the <br />city of Everett, and he asked that such a facility be included in the <br />Comprehensive Plan update.
