• • I RESOLUTION NO. 2682 A RESOLUTION for the sale of City property - Sewer Barn. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has received approval from Mayor William E. Moore, the Mayor of the City of Everett, for the sale of the real property described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, as property not needed presently and for the forseeable future for City purposes; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the real property described in Exhibit "A" is not and will not be needed for City purposes; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said real property has been appraised by an independent fee appraiser on or about November 5, 1985, wherein the property has been valued as follows: Parcel 1 of Exhibit "A" - Sewer Barn $300,000; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City has complied with the requirements of Section 15.8 of the City Charter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT as follows: (1) The real property described in Exhibit "A" is not and will not be needed for City purposes. (2) The real property described in Exhibit "A" shall be sold at a public sale by competitive bids on the following conditions: a. The real property described in Exhibit "A" shall be sold on an outright cash basis or on a term payments basis in accordance with the City's policys. b. The real property described in Exhibit "A" shall be sold to the highest responsible bidder; c. In the event two identical bids are received, the successful bid shall be deemed to be the one received first in time; d. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. It also reserves the right to waive any informalities in connection with said bid. e. The City Council directs staff to set the anticipated closing date to be 60 days after acceptance of the bid.
