• • I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2682 <br /> A RESOLUTION for the sale of City property - Sewer Barn. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has received approval <br /> from Mayor William E. Moore, the Mayor of the City of Everett, for the sale of <br /> the real property described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein by this reference, as property not needed presently and for the <br /> forseeable future for City purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the real property <br /> described in Exhibit "A" is not and will not be needed for City purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said real property has been <br /> appraised by an independent fee appraiser on or about November 5, 1985, <br /> wherein the property has been valued as follows: <br /> Parcel 1 of Exhibit "A" - Sewer Barn $300,000; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City has complied with the <br /> requirements of Section 15.8 of the City Charter. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT as follows: <br /> (1) The real property described in Exhibit "A" is not and will not be <br /> needed for City purposes. <br /> (2) The real property described in Exhibit "A" shall be sold at a <br /> public sale by competitive bids on the following conditions: <br /> a. The real property described in Exhibit "A" shall be sold on an <br /> outright cash basis or on a term payments basis in accordance with the City's <br /> policys. <br /> b. The real property described in Exhibit "A" shall be sold to <br /> the highest responsible bidder; <br /> c. In the event two identical bids are received, the successful <br /> bid shall be deemed to be the one received first in time; <br /> d. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all <br /> bids. It also reserves the right to waive any informalities in connection <br /> with said bid. <br /> e. The City Council directs staff to set the anticipated <br /> closing date to be 60 days after acceptance of the bid. <br />
