4 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 0?6,510 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION authorizing the purchase of sixteen police <br /> cars from the State' s contract. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 WHEREAS, City Council finds that Chapter 39 . 34 RCW <br /> 5 authorizes municipalities to enter into an interlocal agreement <br /> with the State of Washington for the purchase of goods and <br /> 6 services; and <br /> 7 WHEREAS, City Council finds that the City of Everett has <br /> 8 entered into such a contract with the State; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council finds that the Police Department needs <br /> 9 to purchase sixteen (16) police cars; and <br /> 10 WHEREAS, City Council finds that the State has secured a <br /> 11 contract for the purchase of cars and that the City can purchase <br /> cars from the State' s contract at an approximate $2, 000 savings <br /> 12 per car over the City' s 1984 purchase price; and <br /> 13 WHEREAS, City Council finds that it is in the best interest <br /> 14 of the City to avail itself of the substantial cost savings and <br /> to purchase from the State ' s list for this 1986 purchase of <br /> 15 sixteen 1986 police cars; <br /> 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> 17 CITY OF EVERETT that the City is hereby authorized to purchase <br /> from the State' s contract sixteen (16) police cars according to <br /> 18 the following: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 State Contract # : 313B-85 <br /> 22 Supplier ' s Name: McCollum Ford - Spokane <br /> 23 Cost Per Car: $10 , 600 - $11 , 200 <br /> TOTAL COST: $174, 303. 10 + Sales Tax <br /> 24 (for 16 cars) <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Councilman Introducing <br /> Resolution <br /> 29 <br /> PASSED and APPROVED thisc • . • .f Novem.- ,, 985 . <br /> 30 <br /> 31 / a f <br /> IA 0 . 1 32 4 ncil , President <br />
