7 <br /> 1 RESOLUTION NO. 5�9 <br /> 2 Charlotte Seymour Appeal <br /> 3 <br /> 4 WHEREAS, application was made on April 5, 1985, by Charlotte Seymour to <br /> 5 appeal the City's denial of a Home Occupation Permit for a single chair beauty shop in <br /> 6 her home at 2505 81st Place S.E.; and <br /> 7 WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Hearing Examiner on May 16, <br /> 8 1985; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS, the Hearing Examiner made Findings and a Decision denying the <br /> 10 appeal, which is hereby attached; and <br /> 11 WHEREAS, the City Council adopts said Findings and Conclusions and Decision <br /> 12 of the Hearing Examiner; provided that the City Council finds regarding EMC 19.44.030 <br /> 13 that the proposal will not impact the residential character of the neighborhood; <br /> 14 including traffic; that home occupation permits for home-owner operated beauty salons <br /> 15 (without employees) will not substantially impact the City's commercially zoned areas; <br /> 16 and hardship of the applicant is shown by her need to work in the home while caring for <br /> 17 her minor child; and <br /> 18 WHEREAS, Charlotte Seymour, on June 17, 1985, filed an appeal with City <br /> 19 Council of the Hearing Examiner's denial; <br /> 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Everett City Council hereby <br /> 21 upholds the appeal of the Hearing Examiner's Decision and directs the City to issue a <br /> 22 Home Occupation Permit for a single chair beauty shop in Charlotte Seymour's home at <br /> 23 2505 81st Place S.E. subject to compliance with Home Occupation Permit requirements. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 e•.�•�'_ <br /> 26 Cetmcilman Introduci g es• •tion <br /> 27 PASSED and APPROVED this 3 D day of _ . , 1985. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 �/;. . . <br /> 02' ci =r7F'•ene <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
