RESOLUTION NO. e;?S4,(, <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City of Everett adopting the Recovery Action Program <br /> update of the Department of Parks and Recreation and declaring it to <br /> fulfill the requirements of the Urban Park and Recreation Act of 1978. <br /> WHEREAS, the Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Act of 1978 was passed by <br /> the 95th Congress as Title X of the National Parks and Recreation Act of 1978 <br /> (Public Law 95-625) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Act requires the local governments applying for assistance <br /> shall submit evidence of their commitments to ongoing planning, <br /> rehabilitation, service, operation and maintenance programs for their <br /> recreation systems in the form of a Park and Recreation Recovery Action <br /> Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett submitted a preliminary action program to the <br /> Heritage, Conservation and Recreation Service, now a part of the National Park <br /> Service, in compliance with the interim rules for the Act and applied for <br /> assistance under the Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, by such submittal and adoption of Resolution No. 1693, the City <br /> was required under the same interim rules to complete and adopt a full <br /> Recovery Action program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation completed the Recovery <br /> Action Program approved by adoption of Resolution No. 2066, and completed the <br /> 1984 update in accordance with the guidelines published in Federal Register, <br /> Vol. 45, No. 48; and <br /> WHEREAS, the adoption of the Recovery Action Program update by the City <br /> Council of Everett is the final requirement before submission of the Recovery <br /> Action Program update to the National Parks Service; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> that the Recovery Action Program is hereby adopted to serve as supplemental <br /> guidance to the City of Everett's Open Space, Parks and Leisure Services <br /> Comprehensive Plan, which was adopte on July 19, 1978. <br /> Cai(-j( a <br /> Councilman Intr(ooucing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this / 3 day of "ijc J , , 1985. <br /> C h 11 I <br /> , _e. .1 . .1 - i <br /> 1.0 4 it Pre- d-nt <br />
