• <br /> 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 5 01 <br /> 2 <br /> LA RESOLUTION authorizing the purchase of eight police cars from the <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br /> State's contract. <br /> 5 WHEREAS, City Council finds that Chapter 39.34 RCW authorizes municipalities <br /> 6 to enter into an interlocal agreement with the State of Washington for the purchase of <br /> 7 goods and services; and <br /> 8 WHEREAS, City Council finds that the City of Everett has entered into such a <br /> 9 contract with the State; and <br /> 10 WHEREAS, City Council finds that the Police Department needs to purchase <br /> 11 eight (8) police cars; and <br /> 12 WHEREAS, City Council finds that the State has secured a contract for the <br /> 13 purchase of cars and that the City can purchase cars from the State's contract at an <br /> 14 approximate $2,000 savings per car over the City's 1984 purchase price; and <br /> 15 WHEREAS, City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to avail <br /> 16 itself of the substantial cost savings and to purchase from the State's list for this 1985 <br /> 17 purchase of eight 1985 police cars; <br /> 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> 19 OF EVERETT that the City is hereby authorized to purchase from the State's contract <br /> 20 eight (8) police cars according to the following: <br /> 21 <br /> State Contract #: 350B-84 <br /> 22 Supplier's Name: McCollum Ford - Spokane <br /> 23 Cost Per Car: $10,671.50 <br /> 24 TOTAL COST: $85,372.00 + Sales Tax <br /> (for 8 cars) <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 �.� <br /> CoU'r ilman Introducing Resolut' <br /> 28 <br /> 29 PASSED and APPROVED this 14 day of November, 1984. <br /> 30 ,/'be, <br /> / <br /> / ' <br /> C•T'cil Pre . -nt <br /> 32 <br />
