10,6 <br /> RESOLUTION #46,7745- <br /> A <br /> 1 '7i "A Resolution amending the Everett <br /> General Comprehensive Plan through <br /> the adoption of Single Family <br /> Residential Policies. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted a Generalized Land Use Plan <br /> Map by Resolution No. 7264 in 1967, and adopted the Everett Community Plan <br /> by Resolution No. 553 in 1972, as an "integral component of an official <br /> and flexible guide to development decisions," along with the 1967 Plan <br /> Map; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1979, City Council created the Growth Management <br /> Citizen's Study Committee, and on September 16, 1981, City Council <br /> accepted the Growth Management Report, directing the Planning Commission <br /> to use it in developing an updated General Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Everett has held <br /> numerous workshops and public hearings since April of 1982, on the Single <br /> Family Residential Policy portion of the Everett General Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the public <br /> testimony and other relevant information, and has adopted Single Family <br /> Residential Policies which specifically address development within <br /> Everett's designated single family areas; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has considered testimony presented at a <br /> public hearing and has reviewed the Single Family Residential Policies <br /> which are recommended for adoption; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1982, the City Council adopted the Southwest Everett <br /> Comprehensive Plan as a guide for development of that portion of the City <br /> of Everett; <br />
