Because it is in the best interest of the City to preserve <br /> and protect Everett's single-family neighborhoods, the R-S, <br /> R-1, and R-2 zones should be designated single-family if the <br /> predominate land use is single-family detached residential. <br /> 26A 2. Areas that have been or are planning to be annexed should <br /> have a comprehensive plan done for the area immediately. <br /> This would designate new single-family residential areas <br /> right away. <br /> 26A 3. If a commitment to single-family detached housing has been <br /> established as a result of: a) official actions such as <br /> preliminary plat approval for single-family detached housing, <br /> and b) neighborhood plan adoption, the area should be <br /> designated as single-family. <br /> 26A 4. Because the City of Everett is adjacent to Snohomish County <br /> and the City of Mukilteo, and may in the future adjoin other <br /> municipalities, and because from time to time the City of <br /> Everett may annex certain unincorporated areas of the County <br /> replacing the Comprehensive plans which were developed under <br /> different conditions than exist today, the comprehensive <br /> planning process should consider all current factors <br /> a�I N <br />
