PROPOSITION # 3 <br />Shall Everett City Charter Section 3.5 be changed to allow the Everett City Council to <br />provide for the adoption by reference of federal as well as Washington state law, county and city <br />codes and regulations and to eliminate obsolete language? <br />CHARTER CHANGE <br />CHARTER CHANGE <br />Section 6: Change to Section 4.7 <br />reads as follows: <br />YES........... ❑ <br />NO ............. ❑ <br />Section 4.7 of the Everett City Charter which <br />City Engineer — Qualifications. <br />No person shall be eligible to the position of city engineer who has not been a civil <br />engineer of practical experience for the period of five (5) years next preceding his <br />appointment. <br />is recommended to be changed to: <br />City Engineer — Qualifications. <br />The City Engineer shall be a registered professional civil engineer with a minimum of <br />five years experience after registration. Such director shall appoint under <br />civil service laws and rules, supervise and control all employees in the department of <br />parks and recreation, and he shall have such further powers and perform such other <br />duties as may be prescribed by ordinance.
