Section 10: Delete Section 5.5 <br />which reads as follows: <br />Section 5.5 of the Everett City Charter, <br />Board of Adjustment. <br />The city council may provide by ordinance for a Board of Adjustment which may be <br />given authority to hear and determine appeals from the ruling of the building inspector on <br />the provisions of the zoning ordinance, and to grant special exceptions to, or variations <br />from, the zoning regulations in accordance with standards and procedures prescribed by <br />ordinance, and with such further jurisdiction and power as may be prescribed by <br />ordinance. The membership, terms, and eligibility for such board shall be determined as <br />set forth in section 5.2. <br />is recommended to be deleted from the City Charter. <br />PROPOSITION #8 <br />Shall Everett City Charter Section 5.5, referring to the establishment of the Board of <br />Adjustment, be deleted, permitting the City Council to establish or dissolve a Board of Adjustment <br />by ordinance? <br />CHARTER CHANGE YES........... ❑ <br />CHARTER CHANGE NO ............. ❑ <br />Section 11: Change to Section 8.2. The members of such <br />commission shall devote due time and attention to the performance of the duties <br />hereinafter specified and imposed upon them by this charter.
