1 RESOLUTION NO. ,? <br /> 2 <br /> 3 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognizes the substantial <br /> 4 effects and impacts of major developments in our community; and <br /> 5 WHEREAS, both the National Environmental Policy Act and the State <br /> 6 Environmental Policy Act have been acknowledged as a means to augment or mitigate <br /> 7 significant community impacts caused by major developments; <br /> 8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> 9 OF EVERETT that the Everett City Council, without taking a position for or against <br /> 10 specific major developments in the City of Everett, encourages developers and City <br /> 11 staff to identify impacts on the natural and built environments as they relate to a major <br /> 12 development proposals, in accordance with the NEPA or SEPA Guidelines, and, where <br /> 13 possible, propose mitigation measures to offset adverse impacts at the developers' <br /> 14 expense. <br /> 15 /, Z <br /> 16 Councilman Introducing Resolution <br /> 17 PASSED and APPROVED this /V day of February, 1984. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 r , <br /> �f.T�ncil President <br /> 20 <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
