RESOLUTION NO,Z3 71 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to inform Viacom Cablevision <br /> that effective March 1 , 1984, the City's three per cent (3%) <br /> franchise fee shall apply to pay cable television revenues as <br /> well as basic cable television revenues. <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance 239-73 provides that the City of Everett will be <br /> compensated at the rate of three per cent (3%) of the gross earnings <br /> received by Viacom Cablevision from the reception, transmission and <br /> distribution of television signals within in the City, and <br /> WHEREAS, currently the franchise fee is only applied to Viacom Cable- <br /> vision's revenues from basic cable television service, and <br /> WHEREAS, Federal Communications Commission regulations allow for the <br /> application of local franchise fees to pay cable television revenues , <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Everett that <br /> authorization is given to the Mayor to notify Viacom Cablevision that <br /> effective March 1 , 1984, the City of Everett's three per cent (3%) <br /> franchise fee shall apply to pay cable television revenues as well as <br /> basic cable television revenues. <br /> Council Membe Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this/7 day of January, 1984. <br /> iii i <br /> .r..-i <br /> l/ ./WI-4 <br /> 111 ci 1 'residen <br />
