July 26, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., July 26, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, <br /> it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Murphy, <br /> Franklin, Bader and Tuohy were present. Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, and Stonecipher were excused. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 19, 2017, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> President Tuohy announced that the City Council will hold a special meeting <br /> on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. She stated that at that meeting, the <br /> City Council will hold third and final reading and public hearing on Council <br /> Bill No. 1707-30, to adopt an ordinance concerning a vote on the issue of <br /> creating districts to elect five of seven Everett City Council members and <br /> requesting that the Snohomish County Auditor place this measure on <br /> November 2017 ballot. <br /> President Tuohy announced that the regular City Council meeting <br /> scheduled for August 2, 2017, was cancelled. <br /> President Tuohy also announced that citizen comments will be moved to <br /> the end of today's meeting. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Franklin thanked volunteers and social service agencies <br /> for participation at the Project Homeless Connect event. She also thanked <br /> President Tuohy for participating at SnoHomo Pride Celebration Day and <br /> reading the Mayor's proclamation. <br /> 242 <br />
