ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION <br /> DATE: July 10, 2006 <br /> LOCATION: Boeing, 45-02 Building <br /> SUBJECT: Addition of structure to aircraft delivery building. <br /> ACTION: <br /> • Acceptance of alternative means of compliance with Section 705.6, 2003 IBC. <br /> • A fire alarm is not required in the existing building. <br /> • A fire alarm is required in the new building addition and will be made to sound <br /> in adjacent areas of the new two-hour fire wall. <br /> • A two-hour fire wall will be installed between the new addition and existing <br /> building. <br /> • Sprinklers (as proposed) will be installed in the upper portion of the new <br /> addition to provide protection of the upper roof. <br /> • Sprinklers will be installed in the new addition. <br /> FINDINGS: <br /> • See attached letter from Boeing dated June 20, 2006 for further clarification of <br /> issues. <br /> Gr Kirk Brook <br /> Building Official <br />
