RESOLUTION NO.,?sD' <br /> A RESOLUTION naming the Everett Civic Center <br /> "The Henry M. Jackson Center". <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett intends to develop a center for the purpose of <br /> providing a focus for community affairs including cultural and recreational <br /> attractions, educational activities, and civic pursuits, and <br /> WHEREAS, Henry M. Jackson has for decades brought honor to his country, <br /> his state, and to his home town of Everett as a distinguished member of the <br /> Congress of the United States, and <br /> WHEREAS, Henry M. Jackson strongly embodies the quality of civic pride, as <br /> shown by his concern through the years for residents of Everett, young and old <br /> alike, and <br /> WHEREAS, broad segments of the community -- including individual citizens, <br /> as well as the Boards of the Everett Public Library, the Everett Arts Commission, <br /> the Everett Museum Task Force, and the Arts Council of Snohomish County --have <br /> expressed their desire to honor Senator Jackson in an apt and lasting manner; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Everett Civic Center be <br /> henceforth named The Henry M.
