I 1 w ' r i RESOLUTION NO.4;? 0,a A RESOLUTION authorizing application for 1983 Community Development Block Grant Job Bill funds to the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1980. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, funds have been made available through the Jobs Bill of 1983 to provide for those programs and it is estimated that Everett is entitled to receive $347,000 in 1983; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its recommendations for 1983 Community Development Block Grant Job Bill funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations of the above Committee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: I. Projects to be funded in 1983 with Jobs Bill Items Amount 1. Economic Development; $300,000.00 Rehabilitation loan fund. (Monte Cristo Hotel potential project. ) 2. Public Services - 35,000.00 emphasis on emergency housing and food needs of unemployed 3. Administration 12,000.00 347,000.00 II. The Mayor is hereby authorized to make formal application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding assistance in accordance with this Resolution. III. Any funding assistance so received in 1983 be used for the above projects. IV.
