I. , , <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 9' <br /> A RESOLUTION amending the Comprehensive <br /> Plan of the City of Everett as provided <br /> for by Everett Municipal Code Title 2, <br /> Section 20 Subsection 120, to encompass <br /> an area northwest of Kasch Park, south <br /> of Casino Road and East of Airport Road. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that on April 26, 1983, the Planning <br /> Commission held a public hearing regarding establishing the Comprehensive Plan <br /> designation for the hereinafter described property which was proposed for <br /> annexation to the City of Everett, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the said property is located near Paine <br /> Field Airport and impacted by aviation activity; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Snohomish County's Paine Field Area Draft Comprehensive <br /> Plan identifies the area for Industrial/Business Park uses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after reviewing Planning Commission <br /> recommendations at public hearings on May 18, 1983, and June 22, 1983, as <br /> required by R.C.W. 35.13.178, that Planned Industrial District (P.I.D.) land uses are <br /> compatible with nearby airport activity, adjacent recreation uses, and the <br /> surrounding community; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that State Law requires that a <br /> Comprehensive Plan land use designation be established for areas annexed to the <br /> City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Comprehensive Plan designation <br /> hereinafter set forth is in the best interest of the City of Everett. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that: <br /> 1. The Comprehensive Plan designation of Planned Industrial District (P.I.D.) for <br /> the following described area shown on the attached "Vicinity Map," is hereby <br /> adopted. <br /> Legal Description: That portion of the west half of Section 14, Township 28 <br /> North, Range 4 East, Willamette Meridian, Snohomish County, Washington, <br /> described as follows: <br /> Commencing at the west quarter corner of said Section 14, thence S° 89 58' <br /> 12" E along the east-west centerline of said Section 14 a distance of 1791.23 <br /> feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence N 0° 53' 34" W 1218.641 <br /> feet; thence N 89° 48' 49" W 600.107 feet; thence S 0° 53' 34" E 1452.000 <br /> feet; thence S 89° 48' 49" E 600.127 feet; thence N 0° 53' 52" W 233.359 feet <br /> to the true point of beginning. <br /> 2. The Official Comprehensive Plan Map in the Planning Department of the City <br /> of Everett shall upon passage of this Resolution be amended as hereinabove <br /> provided. <br /> 3.
