CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO.,2,5?97 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to execute the application <br /> documents to the Washington State Library Commission for a <br /> LSCA Jobs Act Project Grant totaling $16,425 to assist the <br /> funding of library renovation and improvements. <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal Government through the Public Law 98-8 (Emergency <br /> Jobs Act) under the Library Service and Construction Act, Title II has made <br /> available $1.1 million to Washington State Library Commission for construction <br /> grants; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett meets all the qualifying criteria for grant <br /> application under this program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Library renovation and improvement project meets all the <br /> qualifying criteria for grant application under this program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council recognizes that creation of new <br /> construction jobs through such projects serves the best interest of the citizens of <br /> Everett, surrounding communities and the nation; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett that the Mayor be authorized to execute the application documents. <br /> O IL ' N I's • s i I RESOLUTV <br /> Passed and approved this ~-day , 1983 <br /> Cc•-••• • • ESID T <br />
