RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION accepting the Northeast <br /> Everett neighborhoods recommendations <br /> for expenditures of approximately $60,120 <br /> of 1983 Community Block Grant funds; <br /> specifying the improvements to be <br /> made; and authorizing the preparation <br /> of a Plans and Systems Ordinance for <br /> construction and project implementation <br /> in June, 1983. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to improve public <br /> facilities in the Northeast Everett Neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, numerous neighborhood meetings have been held to discuss <br /> project proposals; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 15 and 16, 1983, residents of the Northeast Everett <br /> neighborhood held a neighborhood-wide meeting at which residents voted on <br /> proposed projects; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> that: <br /> 1. The following projects will be implemented or constructed with the funds <br /> available through the 1983 Community Development Block Grant Program as <br /> recommended by Northeast Everett residents. (The project which received <br /> the greatest number of votes is listed as A, the Project which received the <br /> next greatest number of votes is listed as B.) <br /> A. State Street - 18th Street to 19th Street - Construct curbs, gutters, and <br /> sidewalk on East and West side and provide storm drainage and overlay <br /> existing roadbed. (estimated project cost: $60,000.) <br /> B. Maple Street - 10th Street to 11th Street - Construct curbs, gutters, <br /> sidewalks, street wideningand overlay, storm drainage, and landscaping. <br /> (estimated project cost: $60,000.) <br /> 2. The Mayor be instructed to have a Plans and Systems Ordinance prepared and <br /> presented to the City Council which will officially authorize and fund the <br /> development of contract plans, specifications and detailed cost estimates and <br /> the future construction of the above improvements. <br /> 3.
