RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION approving total funding allocated through certain local, state and federal funds for Kasch Memorial Park, and matching 50% of local funds for the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation Project IAC 83-035D and further authorizing the City of Everett to meet its obligation of matching funds for the Kasch Memorial Park application. WHEREAS, the Everett City Council approves the withdrawal of the Howarth Park application, and transferring $60,000 of committed funds to the Kasch Memorial Park as part of the 50% local matching dollars; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council acknowledges inter-fund loans in the amount of $115,000 in meeting its obligation of a 50% local matching dollars for the IAC grant application for Kasch Memorial Park in the total sum of $175,000; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council acknowledges the need for providing additional funds to enhance the development of Kasch Memorial Park for lighting the multi-purpose ballfields in the amount of $48,000 and utilizing existing utility poles at no additional cost for said project; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council acknowledges the need for providing funds for underground electrical services from Casino Road to the project site for a total cost of $43,500; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council has been presented with estimated costs to be incurred for a total cost of $175,000 (50% local match) $48,000 for lighting the two multi-purpose ballfields, and $43,500 for underground electrical service from Casino Road to the park site. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT, that the actions taken by the City Council are to: 1. Transfer the existing 50% matching monies for Howarth Park in the amount of $60,000 to the Kasch Memorial Park IAC Grant Application. 2. Provide an additional $115,000 from an inter-fund loan to assist in meeting the City's obligation for the 50% local match for the IAC Grant Application for a total of $175,000. 3. Provide for the funding of installation of lighting for two multi-purpose sports fields, in the amount of $48,000. 4. Provide for the funding of installing underground electrical service from Casino Road to the park site in the amount of-$3,500. 5. Provide for reimbursement of the inter-fund loans of $266,500, along with interest in the amount of $13,000, in the 1984 budget. 6. Acknowledge the total amount of funds in meeting the City's obligation of 1 through 4 above for a total cost of $279,500. 7. Regard this resolution as part of the formal application to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation.
