* CITY OF EVERETT <br /> RESOLUTION NUMBER /6 0 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE AN OUTDOOR <br /> RECREATION PROJECT TO THE INTERAGENCY COMMITTEE FOR OUTDOOR <br /> RECREATION AS PROVIDED BY THE MARINE RECREATION LAND ACT <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has approved a <br /> "Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan" for the urban area identified as a 28 <br /> acre Regional Park in the west and central part of the City of Everett. <br /> WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Marine Recreation Land Act, state <br /> and federal funding assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in <br /> financing the cost of restoration and refurbishment of outdoor recreational <br /> facilities of local public bodies; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has, by Council action considered it in the <br /> best public interest to refurbish Howarth Park located at 1127 Olympic Boulevard <br /> and the City of Everett is in need of funds for the refurbishment of said park; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, <br /> 1. That the Mayor be authorized to make formal application to the <br /> Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for Fund assistance; <br /> and <br /> 2. That any fund assistance so received be used in the refurbishment of <br /> Howarth Park as set forth in this resolution. <br /> 3. That any property refurbished with financial aid through the <br /> Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation be placed in use as an <br /> outdoor recreation facility and be retained in such use in perpetuity <br /> unless as otherwise provided and agreed to by the City Council, the <br /> Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation, and any affected <br /> federal agency; and <br /> 4.
