Description of Existing Conditions of Various Land Use Categories
The following section is organized as a description of the existing land use inventory and a
discussion of several issues related to each type of land use category faced by Everett in updating
its land use element. The Growth Management Act requires that the land use element address
the general distribution and extent of the following land uses:
a. Agriculture. Presently there are 1,406 acres of land zoned for agriculture in Everett. The
City of Everett -owned water pollution control facility and surrounding land comprises 490 of
those acres. While some areas in Everett zoned for agriculture are not suited for agricultural
uses, all of the prime agricultural land in Everett is located within the flood way or flood fringe
IW.12I01Ii.Ma11091u1Ile Ia
