Teresa Weldon
From: Teresa Weldon
Sent: Monday, November 07, 2016 4:01 PM
To: 'Randy Brown'
Cc: David Gartland (david@ug-dev.com);Tom Deering; jnm@deainc.com'
Subject: RE: Landscaping for bldg B
Hi Randy,
Yes, I have. I approved the T.I.for an "interior only" permit. I cannot approve removing the landscaping ....there is no
exception in the code to do it under a building permit so it needs to be evaluated under a Landscape Modification land
use application per the Development Agreement, which requires that the displaced landscaping be added and increased .
elsewhere onsite. We can likely get you there, but we need to go through this process first. The fee is$508.The
'Narrative Statement' needs to address Item#5.There is no public comment period, so this type of land use application I
can process within a couple of weeks after I go out and take a site visit. We'll want additional screening trees and
landscaping to be added to that east side (what you are already proposing may be sufficient but I'll have to go out there
and take a look). When you are ready to apply for the Landscape Modification, let me know, and you can email me the
documents to speed it up. For the permit side of it, Public Works has created a separate PW permit for the landscaping
portion and we'll need to get full size paper plans submitted at the counter. I can get you that permit number later so
you can submit 2 sets with a Transmittal Form.
I have a Permit Tech working on the T.I. Interior permit, so hopefully that won't take too long to kick out the door. Let
me know if you haven't received a call by Wednesday and I can follow-up.
Disclaimer: If Columbia Distributing goes to start on the T.I. after the permit is issued, that's ok--- but they need to know
that the truck parking is pending approval.
I think that covers it. Let me know if you have questions.
Teresa Weldon
Planner
City of Everett Planning Department
Direct: 425.257.7281
Permit Services: 425.257.8810
All emails, and attachments, sent to and from City of Everett are public
records and may be subject to public disclosure pursuant to RCW 42.56.
From: Randy Brown [mailto:randy.brown@synthesispllc.com]
Sent: Monday, November 07, 2016 12:57 PM
To: Teresa Weldon
Cc: David Gartland (david@ug-dev.com); Tom Deering
Subject: RE: Landscaping for bldg B -
Teresa,
1
