I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> I <br /> 1-09.6 Force Account <br /> Supplement 1-09.6 by adding the following: I <br /> The City has estimated and included in the Proposal, dollar amounts for all items to be <br /> paid per Force Account, only to provide a common Bid for Bidders. All such dollar I amounts are to become a part of Contractor's total bid. However, the City does not <br /> warrant expressly or by implication that the actual amount of Work will correspond with <br /> those estimates. Payment will be made on the basis of the amount of Work actually <br /> I <br /> authorized by Engineer. <br /> 1-09.7 Mobilization <br /> Supplement 1-09.7 by adding the following: <br /> I <br /> 1. Construction Identification Signs: Upon commencement of Work, the Contractor <br /> shall furnish and erect Construction Identification Signs, one at each end of each <br /> work area, locations of the signs shall be approved by the Engineer. I a. Sign painting, letter and detailing shall be done by a professional sign maker <br /> and approved by Engineer prior to placement on job site. <br /> b. The signs shall be made from three-quarter inch M.D.O. (Medium Density <br /> I <br /> Overlay or Dura-ply) plywood and conform to the dimensions shown on the <br /> "Project/Construction Identification Sign" detail on COE Standard Plan No. <br /> 714. Each of the two Construction Identification Signs shall have a "Project <br /> I <br /> Information Sign" plan attached to the surface of the sign face in accordance <br /> with COE Standard Plan No. 714. The Construction Identification Sign shall <br /> contain three lines of information: I PROJECT NAME: <br /> PROJECT FUNDING: <br /> PROJECT COST: I c. The above information shall be provided by the Engineer. <br /> d. The Construction Identification Signs shall be erected on portable wood sign <br /> frames. Sign frames shall be constructed with treated 4" x 4" wooden posts, I as shown on the " Project/Construction Identification Sign " detail on COE <br /> Standard Plan No. 714. Signs and sign frames shall be maintained by the <br /> Contractor in a clearly legible condition throughout the progress of the Work I and shall be completely removed upon completion of the project and <br /> delivered to the City's storage area for future use by the City. <br /> e. No separate payment for Construction Identification Signs will be made. All I costs associated with this item shall be merged with the unit contract price for <br /> "Mobilization." <br /> 2. Engineer's Field Office: The Contractor shall provide an office for the use of the I Engineer that may be in conjunction or attached to the Contractor's field office. <br /> Sanitary facilities shall be nearby. The location of the office shall be adjacent to the <br /> project and at a location acceptable to the Contractor and the Engineer. The office <br /> I <br /> shall be equipped with a desk, layout table, chairs and telephone and suitable <br /> lighting, air conditioning and heating. A telephone shall be installed for the sole use <br /> of the Engineer. It shall be a separate unit with a different telephone number than <br /> I <br /> the Contractor's phone. Mutually agreeable measures for the security of the office <br /> shall be arranged between the Contractor and Engineer.
