RESOLUTION NO. 02 O 6 <br /> A RESOLUTION accepting the Northeast <br /> Everett neighborhoods recommendations for <br /> expenditures of approximately $66,000 of <br /> 1982 Community Devlopment Block Grant <br /> funds and approximately $10,000 of 1981 <br /> Community Development Block Grant <br /> funds; specifying the improvements to be <br /> made; and authorizing the preparation of a <br /> Plans and Systems Ordinance for construction <br /> and project implementation in June, 1982. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to improve public <br /> facilities in the Northeast Everett Neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, numerous neighborhood meetings have been held to discuss <br /> project proposals: and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 10, 1982, residents of the Northeast Everett <br /> neighborhood held a neighborhood-wide meeting at which residents voted on <br /> proposed projects and had the poll open on March 11, 1982 at which residents voted <br /> on proposed projects; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> that: <br /> 1. The following projects be implemented or constructed with the funds <br /> available through the 1981 and 1982 Community Development Block Grant <br /> Programs as recommended by Northeast Everett residents. (The project <br /> which received the greatest number of votes is listed as A, the Project which <br /> received the next greater number of votes is listed as B.) <br /> A. 1100 Block of Maple - curb, gutters, sidewalks, drainage, and street <br /> overlay (estimated project cost: $50,000.00). <br /> B. Southern most 200 feet of 1800 block of Chestnut adjacent to 19th - <br /> paved and curbs on both sides and sidewalk on west side (estimated <br /> project cost: $25,000.00). <br /> 2. The Mayor be instructed to have a Plans and Systems Ordinance prepared and <br /> presented to the City Council which will officially authorize and fund the <br /> development of contract plans, specifications and detailed cost estimates and <br /> the future construction of the above improvements. <br /> 3. Should costs be less for the above projects than originally estimated, projects <br /> receiving the next highest neighborhood priority shall be included for funding. <br /> If project costs exceed the estimates given, the lowest priority project will be <br /> dropped or revised, to cost within the funds available. <br /> Councilman Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved this j 7 day of /h R pec 1/ , 1982. <br /> Council President <br />
