This monitoring results in updating maintenance and renovation priorities. Staff has <br /> determined the highest priority playgrounds for renovation in 2017 are located at Hauge Homestead Park and <br /> Clark Park. <br /> Renovations at both locations will include updates to some playground equipment and replacement of other <br /> equipment. Parks will coordinate with the Silver Lake Action Committee and the Bayside Neighborhood <br /> Association to establish ad hoc playground subcommittees to provide suggestions on the types of amenities <br /> to feature in the playgrounds. The requested funding will also be used to acquire engineered wood chips for <br /> playground surfacing throughout the Parks system. <br /> RECOlVEMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt an Ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled"Parks Playground Renovations",Fund <br /> 354,Program 052, to accumulate all costs for the improvement project. <br /> 17 <br />
