RESOLUTION NO. ; • A RESOLUTION concerning 2017 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of CDBG,HOME and 2060 Housing Trust Funds and amendments to the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan WHEREAS, the Everett City Council recognizes the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS,Community Development Block Grant(CDBG)funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for these programs, and Everett is due to receive an estimated$730,194 for 2017; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development (CAC) has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for CDBG funds, HOME funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds; and WHEREAS,the Everett City Council has reviewed the recommendations from the CAC; and WHEREAS,the 2017 Annual Action Plan and the amendments 2015 to 2019 Consolidated Plan are proposed in cooperation with Snohomish County and local non-profit service providers through notice and consultation as required by HUD; NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2016 Public Service Projects (CDBG) Recommended ARC Independent Living—Housing Support $8,000.00 Assistance League Operation School Bell $10,000.00 Boys & Girls Clubs DYI STEM $2,500.00 Camp Fire Camp Scholarships $3,150.00 Catholic Community Services Volunteer Transportation $2,700.00 Community Health Center Adult Dental Care $13,000.00 Hand in Hand Village Impact Project $2,250.00 Housing Hope College of Hope $8,000.00 Mari's Place Youth Development $3,129.00 2
