This agreement will allow the city <br /> to better coordinate and evaluate efforts to address the needs of chronic utilizers of public safety and health <br /> services. The provisions of this agreement are specifically intended to meet the business associate contract <br /> requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act(HIPAA). <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Business Associate Agreement with Providence Regional Medical Center to <br /> share protected health information as part of the City's Chronic-Utilizer Alternative Response Team <br /> (CHART)program. <br /> 105 <br />
