• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. . r''oa 4 <br /> A Resolution recommending that the Port Gardner <br /> Neighborhood Plan be accepted as an informal a guide for development <br /> and the expenditure of Community Development <br /> Block Grant funds in the Port Gardner Community. <br /> WHEREAS, since October 1979, residents and neighborhood business people have <br /> been working with Planning Department staff to develop community revitalization <br /> strategies and public facilities improvement plans; and <br /> WHEREAS, neighborhood residents adopted the Plan as a document to guide <br /> development and the expenditure of future Community Development Block Grant funds <br /> on June 15, 1981 at a Port Gardner Association meeting; and <br /> WHEREAS, members of the Everett Planning Commission held five public <br /> hearings concerning the document and unanimously approved a Resolution accepting <br /> the Plan on October 20, 1981, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> 1. The Port Gardner Plan be accepted as an informal guide for development in the <br /> Port Gardner area. Acceptance of the Plan shall not have the force of law, but <br /> will indicate neighborhood concerns, goals and policies to all those interested in <br /> development in the Port Gardner community. <br /> 2. The Plan be accepted as a guide for the expenditure of future Community <br /> Development Block Grant funds for such public facilities as pedestrian paths and <br /> sidewalks, street improvements, traffic improvements, and park improvements. <br /> 3. The Port Gardner Plan be used as an important reference document and planning <br /> tool when updating and revising citywide plans such as the Arterial Street Plan, <br /> the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and map, and or the Zoning Code. <br /> r, �'# <br /> Councilman Introducing Resolution <br /> • <br /> Passed and approved this/`' day of �.�G , 1981. <br /> Counc' nt <br />
