1 RESOLUTION NO. / 7, 2 A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a building at 1120 Broadway. 3 4 WHEREAS, the Building Official has found that the building which 5 is located at 1120 Broadway is a substandard structure based upon the 6 standards set forth in the 1979 Uniform Housing Code; and 7 WHEREAS, the Building Official issued an Order requesting the 8 owner(s) of the property to make the necessary repairs or to demolish the 9 building; and 10 WHEREAS, the repairs or demolition have not taken place as was 11 required in the Order which was duly served on the owner(s) of the 12 property, and 13 WHEREAS, the Building Official has the authority to recommend this 14 action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; and 15 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner(s) of the property 16 has been given notice of this Council meeting; and 17 WHEREAS, the Everett City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare that 18 an Order be entered requiring the demolition of this building. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: 20 Section 1.
