RESOLUTION NO. %,`> ' <br /> A RESOLUTION requesting the City Administration to <br /> provide the City Council with an ordinance <br /> increasing the parking fine for unauthorized <br /> parking in a disabled parking space and provid- <br /> 1 ing for those spaces to be designated tow-away <br /> zones also. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 WHEREAS, there existsthroughout the City certain parking spaces which <br /> 4 are designated disabled parking and which are intended to be set aside and <br /> 5 used solely by disabled persons; and <br /> 6 WHEREAS, these designated spaces are often times used by people who <br /> 7 are not disabled and thereby caused the disabled people added inconvenience <br /> 8 when seeking parking; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS, in order to preserve those designated parking spaces solely <br /> 10 for disabled persons, the City Council desires to increase the parking fine <br /> 11 for unauthorized parking in disabled parking spaces and also to designate <br /> 12 such spaces as tow-away zones. <br /> 13 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Everett does resolve <br /> 14 that the City Administration present the City Council with an ordinance <br /> 15 which would amend the existing ordinance increasing the fine for unauthoriz- <br /> 16 ed parking in disabled parking spaces to $50 and designating such spaces <br /> 17 as tow-away zones. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 %'` <br /> 212,,Laieopoo, <br /> Councilman Intro icing Reso ion <br /> 22 <br /> 23 PASSED and APPROVED this-7 day offlg`y , 1981. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 • _2 „i frAa-&--) <br /> Co ' , i1 Preident <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
