i <br /> 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. /(6-6.) <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing application for 1981 <br /> Bonus Block Grant funds to the Puget Sound <br /> Council of Governments <br /> WHEREAS, the Puget Sound Council of Governments has set aside $20,691 <br /> Bonus Block funds for the City of Everett for projects which will increase housing <br /> opportunities within single jurisdictions or neighborhoods, and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett's 1979 Housing Assistance Plan shows that there is a con- <br /> centration of low-income families, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett is committed to the provision of decent, safe <br /> and sanitary housing for all of its citizens, and <br /> WHEREAS, there is currently no program which provides a revolving fund <br /> for financial assistance to low income families, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett will comply with the certifications described <br /> in.CFR 570.307, except 307(d) which is excepted by the Rules and Regulations printed <br /> in the Federal Register Vol. 43, No. 149 - Wednesday, August 2, 1978. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT, THAT: <br /> 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to submit, to the Puget Sound <br /> Council of Governments, a proposal for 1981 Bonus Block Grant <br /> funds for a $20,691 program to provide a revolving loan fund for <br /> financial assistance to low-income families. <br /> 2.
