The goal of the Snohomish County Interagency Child Abduction Response Team (ICART)is to quickly and effectively locate and recover a child unharmed who has been abducted, or who is missing under suspicious circumstances,by utilizing a team of pre-identified resources and personnel with prior training and/or experience related to child abductions. ICART will follow a protocol that is consistent with the standards established in the United States Department of Justice AMBER Alert CART Certification Manual, and will pursue national certification once operational. This agreement is for the period of June 1,2017 through May 31,2018, and will automatically renew on June 1 of each subsequent year unless otherwise terminated or modified by amendment. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement establishing the Snohomish County Interagency Child Abduction Response Team at no cost to the City. 47
