T�.. \:moi/// 3, v i ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE amending the levying of the general taxes for the City of Everett for fiscal year commencing January 1, 2016, amending Ordinance No.3453-15 . WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Everett adopted Ordinance#3453-15 on October 21, 2015, levying general taxes for the City of Everett for fiscal year commencing January 1, 2016; and WHEREAS, information was subsequently received indicating that the new construction and refund levy estimates were insufficient for the 2016 levy; and WHEREAS,in order to levy the total amount available,the new construction and refund levy estimates in the ordinance must be revised; NO W,.THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: • Section 1: Section 1 or Ordinance No. 3453-15, which reads as follows: - REGULAR PROPERTY TAX LEVY - The Everett City Council hereby authorizes the property tax levy for collection in the year 2016 at$34,769,177 (including a$344,249 increase in dollar amount, which is a 1% increase over the amount of taxes lawfully levied by the City in 2015),plus an estimated$700,000 from new construction, improvements to property, annexations, and changes in state-assessed property, and $200,000 • resulting from a refund levy, for a total of 535,669,177. EMERGENCY rtjEDICAL SERVICES The Everett City Council hereby authorizes the property tax levy for collection in the year 2016 at $6300.307 (including a$62379 increase in dollar amount, which is a 1% increase over the amount of taxes lawfully levied by the City in 2015.
