The briefings occurred on May 3,2017 and May 28, 2017. Three <br /> potential partnership scenarios were presented—a neighborhood park, a neighborhood park and base pool, <br /> and a neighborhood park and expanded pool. <br /> The briefings included a summary of the Y's business perspective regarding each scenario and technical <br /> information requested by City Council. The technical information included data related to swimming <br /> demand, city growth projections,the city's transportation network adjacent to the Y's new location at 4730 <br /> Colby Avenue and a summary of other partnership agreements' key similarities and differences. <br /> Today's briefing summarizes additional research regarding swimming demand and actual outcomes (i.e. <br /> community response)to offered swim benefits for partnership agreements in the Puget Sound area. The <br /> briefing will conclude with Administration's recommended business framework/key principles for the <br /> potential partnership scenarios. Based on City Council discussion and direction, staff is prepared to use the <br /> recommended framework/principles presented, or revisions suggested by City Council, to guide further <br /> discussion and negotiation with Y staff in developing one or more draft partnership agreements for City <br /> Council review. <br /> 5 <br />
