City of Everett <br /> COMMUNITY SP 2017 Guidelines <br /> :`; <br /> About Community Sparks: <br /> The Community Sparks program helps Everett residents foster a sense of community through small projects that <br /> will benefit the community and build connections between neighbors. <br /> Community Sparks funding is available to community groups for projects that build stronger connections within <br /> Everett city limits. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to apply. Up to$500 of eligible expenses for <br /> your project or event are reimbursable with Community Sparks funds and must be matched with volunteer labor <br /> and/or monetary or in-kind donations. <br /> Eligibility: <br /> Who should apply? Who is not eligible? <br /> • Everett residents • Individuals <br /> • Neighbors • Organizations such as: <br /> • Community groups Businesses <br /> • Cultural groups Nonprofits and not-for-profits <br /> • Volunteer groups Religious organizations <br /> • Interest-based groups Political organizations or groups <br /> • Informal groups • Non-Everett residents <br /> • Open to all ages,skills and backgrounds • Fraternal or civic organizations <br /> What criteria does a project need to meet to be eligible? What projects are ineligible? <br /> • Projects must be open to all members of the public • Projects/events that do not engage the community <br /> • Foster community connections • Projects/events that are not open to the public <br /> • Occur within Everett city limits • Fundraising or profit generating projects and events <br /> • Demonstrate community match • Projects/events outside of Everett city limits <br /> • Can be completed within 2 months of award date • Campaign or political projects <br /> Community match: Reimbursable expenses: <br /> Awardees are required to match the amount awarded Eligible project expenses will be reimbursed with <br /> to the project with community contributions.The total Community Sparks funds up to the amount awarded <br /> match value must be equal to or greater than the (maximum of$500).
